I started on a Hello World tutorial provided by Eclipse, but a dialog insists it can't find a JRE. After a bit of searching the web, I learned that it should be in the eclipse/jre/ folder, but that folder does not exist on my system. I downloaded the Java for Mac OSX 10.6 package from the Apple Developer site, and still see no jre. If the older JDK isn't on your machine, you'd need to use the GUI and download the Java updater. The one closest to yours I could find was for Java 1.6.015 for Mac OS 10.5 (you didn't mention which Mac OS X version you were running): Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 5. I didn't see any for Mac OS X 10.6. Many applications locally and on the internet designed in Java need a runtime environment (or Virtual Machine) Java for use on Windows, Mac and Linux. If you need 'Java' on your computer, download directly Clubic the Java Runtime Environment also called JRE, Java Virtual Machine, Java Virtual Machine or JVM. Download the JRE.dmg file, jre-10. Interim.update.patch osx-x64bin.dmg. Before the file can be downloaded, you must accept the license agreement. From either the browser Downloads window or from the file browser, double-click the.dmg file to launch it.
Cross-platform Java executable wrapper
Launch4j is a cross-platform tool for wrapping Java applications distributed as jars in lightweight Windows native executables. The executable can be configured to search for a certain JRE version or use a bundled one, and it's possible to set runtime options, like the initial/max heap size. The wrapper also provides better user experience through an application icon, a native pre-JRE splash screen, and a Java download page in case the appropriate JRE cannot be found.

License
This program is free software licensed under the BSD 3-Clause License, the head subproject (the code which is attached to the wrapped jars) is licensed under the MIT License. Launch4j may be used for wrapping closed source, commercial applications.
Info
Running Launch4j on other Java enabled platforms is a matter of getting a binary version of MinGW binutils 2.22 (windres and ld only) for your system or compiling them. If you'll provide these, I'll be able to create a binary package available for download.

Note: Due to the Java update (from 5 to 13), this new version does not allow to read files produced by previous versions (like the .jmv project file).

The Windows and Linux installers include a copy of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE*) and JAI* libraries (hence their large size), which will be installed in subdirectories of the JMicroVision installation. Thus, they will not conflict with or overwrite any existing JRE you may already have on your computer. The inclusion of the JRE ensures the connection between JMicroVision and the Java Runtime.
